Hope is a quiet, steady force. Sure, it may sometimes be loud, but more

often than not it’s held silent inside hearts and shared tentatively amongst

whispers. It’s the invisible thread that holds us together and the gentle

hands that push us forward. It’s our wisest words. Our deepest wishes. It is

the unseen flame which ignites revolution. Hope is the essence of what this

book embodies.

As we’ve continued another journey around the sun in a world rife

with hopelessness, we’ve sought out quiet verses of resilience, soft spells of

determination, and short tales of transformation. As writers, we know the

alchemy it takes for an idea to become a story, and as editors, we hoped to

find pieces that reflect the magic that went into them. What evolved from

the submissions pile was something more lovely than what we could have

imagined—it became a guide on how to live each day more magically.

This collection is for those who’ve always known there must be more.

More than the mundane, more than the explained, beneath the visible and

beyond the knowable—a deeper purpose, a sublime spark. Each piece of

this edition embodies the quest for greater connection—for hope. Through

poetry and prose, it reveals the core of who we are and what we seek to be

at Elixir Verse Press; our desire to transcend the ordinary and to fortify the

minds and souls of our readers.

With this book in hand, we encourage you to seek moments of quiet. To

settle in and sit with stillness. To take solace in wonderment. To let yourself

feel the Arcana and know that the power evoked in these pages is yours to

wield. To let yourself hope.
